Darryl Scotti, guitarist, songwriter, international recording artist and founder of Big Yard Nation, whose lifelong passion for music began with early influences like Chuck Berry, Elvis, and The Beatles.
At eighteen, he joined Columbia Records artists Spiral Starecase, performing their #1 hit ‘More Today Than Yesterday’ alongside legends including Ray Charles, BJ Thomas, The Turtles, Wayne Cochran and Nancy Sinatra.
After a successful career producing corporate entertainment and music in Northern California he returned to performing with his band ‘Big Yard’ in 2005 earning NACAS Song of the Year for ‘Take Out the Trash’.
Now based in Scottsdale, Arizona Scotti continues to write, record, and mentor emerging artists. His 2024 EP ‘54th St., a sultry six song blend of R&B, rock, and country crossover earned over 2 million global streams and video views, with the single ‘Proof’ debuting in the Global Radio Charts Top 150 and holding a Top 50 position on the Indie 150 for 28 weeks.
In 2025 a reimagined release of ‘Every Breath You Take’, the classic Sting hit from the 80’s quickly gained over 2 million streams and video views while garnering a multi generational fanbase.
The latest EP due out in early 2026 ‘Poets and Heroes’ includes six new original Americana compositions released in 2025 co- produced with Larry Antonino featuring collaborations with various members of Pablo Cruise and Grammy-nominated guitarist Grant Geissman.
Scotti’s music reflects his belief in the power of song to move, inspire, and heal.
